Dear St Ursula's School Community,
As we continue to grow and adapt in our ever-changing world, we believe it is essential to review and refresh our school vision.
Our current school vision was crafted in September 2021, a time when our community was navigating the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and school closures. Since then, we have successfully undergone our first OFSTED and Catholic inspections as a primary school, following our previous status as separate infant and junior schools. These significant milestones have highlighted the need for us to reflect on our vision to ensure it aligns with our current context and aspirations for the future.
What is a School Vision?
A school vision is a guiding statement that encapsulates our values, aspirations, and the direction we want to take as an educational community. It serves as a foundation for our goals and decisions, helping us to create an environment where every pupil can thrive. A well-defined vision inspires our staff, engages our pupils, and fosters strong partnerships with parents and the wider community.
To ensure that our new vision reflects the voices of all stakeholders, we would greatly appreciate your input. We have created questionnaires linked to your roles in our school, and your feedback will be invaluable in shaping our vision moving forward. Please find the links to the questionnaires below:

We encourage you to take a few moments to complete the relevant questionnaire by [insert deadline date]. Your insights and perspectives are crucial as we embark on this collaborative journey to define a vision that truly represents our community.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to St Ursula's Catholic Primary School.
Together, we hope to create a vision that empowers our pupils and reflects our shared values.

Our School Vision
St Ursula’s Catholic Primary School is a dynamic, inclusive school; where exceptional teaching and learning empowers children to put Christ at the heart of all they do; all learners, regardless of their ability benefit from the school’s stimulating and exciting environment, making excellent progress as they journey through our school.
We have high expectations of our children in every aspect of school life and will endeavour to enable them to achieve their potential through high quality, inclusive and innovative learning experiences.
St Ursula’s is a Catholic school and it is in its Catholicity that it finds its identity. With each child being a unique creation of God, the individuality and achievements of our pupils are always celebrated. We respect the diverse cultural background and faiths of our community and will endeavour at every opportunity to build upon the positive relationships between school, parish, home and the wider community.
We continue to embed our pupil’s participation into all aspects of school life rather than just being an add-on. Pupil voice is a key driver for improvement and at St Ursula’s we will ensure that all children and young people are heard.
At St Ursula’s we offer an environment where safeguarding, mental health and wellbeing are of a high priority, ensuring that the safety, health and well-being of all children, staff and visitors is given due consideration. Our staff have a deep understanding of how to best support the mental health and wellbeing of all of our community.
Developing our staff is integral to the improvement of St Ursula’s and the progress of our pupils. Through effective investment in continued professional development for all members of staff, we foster a 'grow our own' ethos.
Staff of St Ursula’s are relentless in their pursuit for all pupils to first realise and then achieve their full potential.
