On behalf of the St Ursula’s School community, welcome to our website.

Since 1995 we have served our local community with Christ at the heart of everything we do. Our Catholic faith and our values — Faith, Respect, Kindness, Honesty and Resilience — guide how we live, learn and care for one another. You will see these values in daily life here: in the way we look for opportunities to help others, in the relationships between staff and pupils, and in the high expectations we hold for every child.

St Ursula’s is a warm, nurturing and truly inclusive school. We are proud of our stimulating classrooms and well-resourced environments where children feel safe, challenged and happy. Our intake is richly diverse  and we celebrate that diversity. We also place great importance on meeting additional needs and supporting every pupil to make progress, academically and personally.

We believe education is a partnership between home, school and parish. Parents and carers play a vital role in their children’s learning and we welcome that collaboration. Pupils’ voices matter here too: we encourage them to be active, responsible citizens who treat others with kindness and respect.

I hope this site answers your questions and gives you a flavour of life at St Ursula’s. If you would like to visit, ask a question or see the school in person, please do get in touch — we’d be delighted to show you around.

Kind regards

Mr Karl Ashburn
