Applying for an In-Year Transfer

If a child is already in primary aged education, parents may apply if they want their child to go to a different school. If families have moved house, they can also apply to change school during the school year. We call this an in year admission.

Parents can make an in year application with Havering Admissions for St Ursula’s Catholic Primary School, along with most other schools in Havering. Parents can list up to four school preferences. If places are available, Havering Admissions will offer families their highest preference possible. Again, this type of application can only be done online.

If you are told a place is not available at our school, you may wish to add yourself onto the waiting list held by Havering Admissions. You will be contacted by them if a place becomes available for you. Waiting lists for all schools close at the end of each academic year. You must submit a new application for the approaching academic year and children will not be considered for any places until the new application is received.

Children are admitted to school following our published criteria which you can read below in the Admission Documents section.

Preference will be given to baptised practising Catholic children whose application is accompanied by a Baptismal certificate or reception into Church, proof of date of birth and paperwork showing verification of address.

The Governing Body is the Admission Authority and as such is fully responsible for all admissions to the school.

Applicants must complete the supplementary information form as part of their application and submit it to the school office together with the required documentation detailed on the form.  This can be done by printing and completing a Supplementary Information Form below.

You can start your in-year application with Havering Admissions here www.eadmissions.org.uk/.

What happens next?

After submitting your online application to eAdmissions and completing and submitting the SIF form to the school office, applications will be considered by the school Governors and their decisions filed with eAdmissions.

Parents will receive the outcome of their application by email from eAdmissions.
