I would like to offer a warm welcome to those of you with children joining St Ursula’s Catholic Primary School in September 2021. You may be an existing family with a new sibling starting or a new family to the school; either way, we hope that we have a long and happy association, working together to develop your child into a happy and successful young person. Clearly, times have been very different and the lead up to your child starting school has not been the experience you would have traditionally had. Even with Covid-19 restrictions easing, schools are still having to think of new and innovative ways of delivering some of the things we used to take for granted, such as our tours and transition arrangements. Instead of a tour, all of our information will be shared on this page.
Below you will find intake presentations that contain information about the school and share some of our expections, prior to your child starting:

Staff & Parent/Carer phone calls:
During the week of 28th June 2021, a member of our Nursery or Reception team will call you. As part of this call, they will ask for some key information about your child and you will be able to share any information that it is important for us to know. For example:
- Health needs or learning needs
- Likes & dislikes
- Any siblings your child may have
- Who will be bringing and collecting your child
During this phone conversation, the staff member will share your child’s start date and which class they are going to be in. Our children will have a staggered start in September. This is to help the children settle in well and build their love of learning at St Ursula’s. Further information about your child’s class, their Teacher and Teaching Assistant will be shared on Thursday 16th July as part of our whole school ‘Transition Day’, where each year group in our school will find out who their new teacher will be. Click here to go to the Transition Day page.
We look forward to welcoming you into our school this September.
